Betur sjá augu

short film

The award winning Icelandic short film BETUR SJÁ AUGU (See no Evil) is about a group of people that inhabit the Icelandic nature, but in a slightly different reality. They differ from normal people in that each of them has only one or two senses; someone has a mouth, another eyes and the third ears. So in the beginning the people are stuck in their own world. When they acquire senses they slowly start trying to form bonds with each other. The film is about universal connection, humanity and culture that can reach across borders. It is about living in a small community and the dangers and joys that come with that.
